Don't feel bad Dfrog. Its an easy mistake to make....inviting too many people to your own car show. Next time only invite those with dungers or......invite no-one, then you are bound to clean-up!

What about TOSSER!! What kind of wanker would choose that name?

Well the fact is I jerk-off animals for a living so it was like a natural progression.
Most people just call me a wanker but it is a destinguished profession. My skills are called for all over the place.
How did I start in the job.....lets just say I showed a lot of natural talent.

Hi guys, I have some old Aussie MPG figures but it doesn't say whether they are American or British Gallons. (quite a difference)
So if you are running a standard or near standard donk....what do you get out of a tank on the highway....average.... etc etc.

Your biggest problem is mounting the supercharger. Somewhere in line with the pulleys with a facility to take-up the slack in the belt. You will need to put a multi-ribbed belt pulley on your crank. That adjustment mechanism that came with the supercharger looks too bulky to me. I would modify an alternator bracket and mount it there. As for the intake manifold, I would get a dual Weber manifold and weld on a long piece of pipe as your plenum and the rest is easy. Also a V8 airfilter box to allow easy flow.

You dont need to run oil to it. Modern superchargers like on the 4AGZE are teflon coated inside. Take a look. It will be black and slippery inside. Make sure this coating is not stuffed or you will have a nice door-stop. If you are sucking through a carb you will not need the breather pipes, just block them off. As for the 12V power supply to the electric clutch, just rig up a switch on the dash. This is handy just incase the supercharger sh$ts itself you can turn it off and keep driving.

If the car was manufactured after 1/71 then lap and sash are needed each side and just lap in the middle. If it was manufactured before this date, then go with what came with the vehicle.

Hi guys, sorry I haven't got around to sorting thru my box of photos yet. The systems I suggested on this thread are for those who can't afford an injected system and are happy to forgo max performance to save some bucks.
For the turbo set-up I did it all myself. I used a secondhand Landi system from a 3.9 EA Fairmont. Even the tank fit! This system has the Landi control box which reads info from an O2 sensor which I had to install into the exhaust system. I did find the venturi from this system too restrictive and ended up running the turbo with no waste-gate at all to compensate. This car was amazing, awesome economy and could pull 200 easy.
On the supercharged 4AZGE car I used a huge secondhand venturi from a wrecker and the rest was pretty much new. I did some of the install but the garage that was certifying it did the most. They were really good and recommended which converter to run etc etc. This car was straight gas and had heaps of lowdown and midrange but ran out of legs at 160. Looking back maybe the converter was too small. It was also suprizingly thirsty for a small motor but it did demand to be driven hard.

No I didn't modify the spark timing. The Cordia being turbo ran a knock sensor as standard which remains operational.

I will have to have a look. These projects were done over 10 years ago now so they will be print photos I will have to scan. There is nothing really to see with the Cordia set-up. The only way you can tell it is on gas is the converter which I tucked away neatly. I will see what pics I have.

If you don't want to go to all the expense of injected LPG with a computer you have other options.
I made my Cordia turbo run on gas(it would pull 210kph on gas comfortably) and I put a supercharged 4AGZE into a corolla on straight gas both using the same mixer I took from car to car.
The mixer is the venturi ring type I think it came out of a V8 or big 6. I got it from a wreckers. I just stuck it in the duct work immediately after the airfilter where the duct is largest and put a highflow converter on to feed it. It worked a charm. In both cases the more the supercharger or turbo 'sucked' didn't matter the correct mixture was being governed by the venturi. Simple and effective. I even ran an intercooler on the supercharged motor. I should dig up the old pics.
