Im in LA- hollywood. The carry on idea would be good but i cant go past more than 20kg. I can pay an excess fee for baggage up to 70lb, so is the gearbox just over or just under 70lb?

Hey guys, im in the USA at the moment, heading back to australia in two months. Would there be any datsun parts here that arent available in australia that are worth bring back? Currently in california, travelling around a bit but hopefully spending another week here before i leave. I could of course also help out other datsun owners. Thanks

Interesting stuff. Seems like a bit of a waste to port a manifold and stick with a smaller head.
I do have 13's on my head bolts. Its not so bad though because now I know with a larger head I could really get this thing moving!

yeah just a tach, the exhaust is 2", i love it.
DCOE 45 hanging off the side, its very responsive, everything EFI i have had wont touch it.
Just checked then on the head though, always assumed it was an oval port, its not.... its an M30, so round port which would account for some of the low speed torque. Damn. Why would my A15 be fitted with this head?

Woah this escalated quickly. That ute looks to be a pretty hardcore, nice find.
The idea of the rotary came from wanting more power easily from an engine that would fit. 12a being carburetted means i dont have to mess about with computers and having good stock hp too. It really does seem like an ideal swap and if i ever get the dough its what i will be going for

Very nice mate, so when are you putting that A12 in? Be interested to hear how it goes, thats one this with horsepower, you just want more and more. You doing anything to the brakes or suspension?
At this rate your project looks to be moving along nicely.
