Hi I am chasing an alternator, just like the one in the picture, LT135 FN. Or if it's easier I will buy the plastic piece with the bushes in it, my bushes are worn down to approx 10mm, and there are no lines as far as I can see for marking serviceable length?

If anyone has either let me know. Cheers

As far as I can tell noisy lifters are normal for a 90s turbo nissan. But I can't find clear information on oil choice.

I have noisy lifters in my sr20det since my last oil change. I have run semi-synth penrite 10W 40 last two changes, last time I had to use a fraction of cheap mineral oil to make up the amount.

Should I change to a heavier oil to keep them quiet, or lighter oil so it can penetrate the oiling hole?

A lot of it probably has to do with red tape, taxes, and all the fat. Industry can't compete when changing bolt A to bolt B means a 20 page report and an safety audit behind it.

So me and my mate are doing up a drift car and it gets left on the street because he lives in an apartment block and there is not always a free spot. Sounds sus already right. Well anyway the cops called him and said that because it had been unregistered for X amount of time that they were going to tow it and impound it. They already took the plates off. Is this all legit? We don't drive it on the street just park it. It's not in pieces or anything either it's all there. How can they just take it away? What if we are fixing it up before rego?! Sounds weird to me.
What to do folks?

Haha I mentioned the fact that it drives as most datos see little time on the road these days unfortunately. I love the look of this car and how it drives but I have other commitments. Genuinely a sweet deal.

Datsun 1200 sedan in good condition, loads of fun and a beast little cruiser.

A12 engine with mild cam, weber downdraught, and full exhaust system. Has that epic carby sound. Modified suspension with fully adjustable coilovers in front, reset leaves with blocks in rear. Disc brakes up front. 14" jap style wheels with federal tyres and lightweight aluminium blox wheel nuts. New matte orange paint with fender mirrors and some sticker bombing on windows. Bucket drivers seat, Nardi steering wheel. Thermo fan.

I bought this car to have as a weekender, serviced it, adjusted the brakes and clutch, put in a new throttle cable, and new bush in the steering column. Got a new radiator overflow and bonnet pull to go with it but haven't had time to put those in. There are very few bad points, very minor rust, bonnet has some dings, could do with a brake bleed but pulls up fine (just my own personal recomendation as it's something most people overlook).

Ready to cruise as is, has plenty of rego well into 2014. I have some bills to pay, will sell for $4500 slightly negotiable.

Will consider swaps but they must be manual and registered with a couple months, prefer rear wheel drive and sporty/modified, but no matter what I need some decent cash in the deal (over $1000).

May not answer calls during business hours. If you want just text and I can get back to you.

WANTED: As in the title, I am chasing good condition front and rear seats, (with rails), carpet in good condition (I think it's split front and rear?), and those little door pulls (not the door opener).
Prefer NSW for obvious reasons, Sydney or Illawarra area best.
PM or phone 0402673094
Thanks
