Hey Andy - there's 2 for sale on facebook in melbourne for $50

https://www.facebook.com/groups/994493963963043//

scroll down the ad is about 5-6 days ago. I don't know if the bolt pattern is right but the offset looks to be and I could always drive there and try and fit one to my coupe to see if the offset is ok have a look first to see if they'd be suitable whatsoever and I can go from there. The only hassle would be getting them to you. freight would be atrocious I'd imagine, but maybe another forum member is heading up your way from here - who knows??

got one from zigmondo - most corrosion free alloy head of that vintage ever. Pressure tested fine, skimmed the deck (though could have gotten away without it) - valves vac tested as sealing like new - guides in likewise condition so no point freshening it up.. Thanks mate possibly the first spot of good fortune I've had with the old girl in recent memory!

stuck behind the wheel of a truck most of the time and always running short of time to actually make any progress on the poor girl. if I can't find a head to fix the a12 I'm putting an a15 in there. I collected enough of the darn things.

anyone in melbourne/outer suburbs got an early a12 head suit reco?
I'm fairly sure mines cracked and would prefer to reco another so it's ready to go without taking mine off the road whilst it's still driveable (albeit not great!)

mail4jmac@gmail.com or pm or reply here.

thanks everyone

Hey everyone haven't been on here in literally years. Finally trying to get back to working on my beloved dattos.

I'm chasing some late ute control arms - the ones that fit the bigger ball joints and castor bars (complete with nuts and bolts please for castor bars and ball joints, but don't actually nered the ball joints themselves)

I'm in melbourne Australia, and willing to pickup anywhere within 150km of melbourne (have to be on a weekend), but happy to do cod post for anywhere else...

If I'm reading it correctly, you are saying none of the outside turn signals work at all when you put the right indicator or hazards on? I'd check the globes first and foremost. When buying a car, it can sometimes be a really good move to replace all those globes and the fuses, just so you are starting with new ones (and it'll only cost about $20 or so altogether) and it's a known quantity. Headlights perhaps less so, but certainly the indicators/park lights and brake lights (number plate lights too, little things like that tend to make the police less likely to want to take a closer look at the car.

DDGonzal - I wouldn't bet my life on it, but I _think_ the guy with the cherry who was cutting a block open to show deck/bore wall thickness was in nearby Finland, not Norway, but it's a distant memory so I could be wrong!

Lars - that is ONE CLEAN LOOKING DATSUN - good find mate!

Should have 1 spare set of early ones, do you need the tops or anything or just the bare struts. I'll chuck them in the car whenever I get time to drop the leaves around/pick up the tailshaft :)

Flatto - is the centre of the steering wheel steel or highly polished alloy (probably everyone else can tell from the pic, but I'm hopeless with that sort of thing!)
