So the idea is that they act like an umbrella and stop oil from running down the valve???

I bought a complete reco gasket set for my A15...
When I look at the rubber valve seals they seem to be way too wide at the base to fit the stem.
The valve seal kit also has an 'O' ring for each valve in it - where does that go?
I had a look at a 1200 head and it has the same seals in it and they are just riding up and down with the valve...
The original seals were a metal casing and rubber sprung top that press onto the valve guide.
I can't see how these new kits do any sealing at all???
Has anyone seen these kits and can comment??

Can anyone tell me where I might be able to buy Hitachi jets...
Couldn't work out why new A14 ute was running rough and having starting/idle issue...
Seems it has a 'custom' jetted carb with mostly A12 jets.
Needs slow sec and main air - or just a whole new jet kit to suit standard A14 would be good..

A14 Carb Problem

Hi All,
I have a 1200 ute with A14.. stock carb with crap removed..
I think I have an idle jet problem ...not sure ..
When I start the engine cold it seems to take alot of turning and then when it does fire it coughs and splutters and runs rough for about 1 min and then runs fine, idles well and everything, starts first hit again.
Its like something just switches and allows the fuel to flow and it runs like a dream..
I've tried following idle mix adjustment guides etc ie screww right in then out 2 turns, then adjust to highest revs. but then when starting from cold it never runs. I have to back the idel mix out about 8 turns to get it to idle...
Choke also doesn't seem to work...just floods it..

Any help would be appreciated..
