If you are going that fast in a datsun, you dont want to be concentrating on the speedo. I like the retro look though, goodluck.

The plot thickens
I went over to my car today to work out what went wrong and where to go next. We looked in the paint tin (base colour). Gave it a stir and bubble type things were rising and sitting on top. I got a metal bar and dipped it and once the bubbles sort of popped, specs of $hit was apparent. They were rising to the top of the coat, same as the car. Nobody knows what happened.
Hope my old man doesn't try to go for unfair dissmisal, lol. Poor bloke.

His equipment is good, he has painted cars before and its been fine. I think its just a dirty work space and my old man getting a bit lazy.
I know he is only trying to help, we are cool and he knows he deserves sack. He was just as dissapointed as me. If I cant find a pannel shop to do it I might have to give it another try. Thanks for the advice
I will try and get some good pics, the back of the car looked sweet. Can anybody recommend a pannel shop?

We rubbed a section back with 1200 and buffed it. The first time you look at it the pannel looks like glass but if you catch it in the right light. You can see where all the nibs were and the fine scratches and swirl marks I think from sanding it.

VG auto paints, I was thinking the crap was in the paint as we painted the engine bay after on a perfect day no wind and same thing.
Im not saying VG's stuffed up, I was thinking more my old man f$cked it.
I really would like to send it to a pannel shop with a booth.

I recently had my kb10 painted. Its down to a rolling shell with just a dash left in it, doors, boot lid and bonnet off the car. My old man painted just the shell at home and it was a disaster. There was dirt, dust and crap all through it. So I stopped work as I was not happy.
After thinking about binning the whole project I've decided to keep going. Ive sacked my old man and I have some cash. For those of you who follow my build page would know about the engine bay incident. Paint and me don't work.
I have a shell in 2pac colour that needs to be resprayed and doors, boot lid and bonnet that need to be painted. I'm at the stage where I would just like to pay someone to paint the right way in a booth. I'm after advise on what to do and recommendations with someone that could help me. I've rang a few panel shops and they haven't given me the time of day, I don't really blame them.

Can anybodoy tell me more about the H150/H190. Im guessing the h190 centre bolts into the h150 housing. What did come in? What ratio's? and are they much lighter than the pintara?
