ROConnor is right..

There will be no issue if i'm using the standard A14 block height..

from what i've known, in a standard A14/15 block height + A14/15 conrod, the RB piston will exceed 3mm off from the top of the block..and we only have to shave the top of the piston 3mm off,and it will still be safe..

i'm afraid in my case,my A14's block has been decked 2.3mm off.. so,i have to shave off the top of the piston more than it should (3mm + 2.3mm = 5.3mm)..which i dont think i would be safe anymore..

my point is that i'm trying to figure out is it possible if using a shorter conrod (A12)?
And it would safe the piston from being shave off 5.3mm..

i'm so sorry if i'm confusing you guys..

i'm planning to do so..i've read somewhere in this forum (i forgot which thread ..) where they do rebore to 78mm using RB's piston..

i do know that this conversions is not a problem if doing it with the standard A14/15 block and using its conrod..

but if,using a shorter conrod (A12) this mean that i'll lose my CC's instead of gaining it..am i right?and does it seems possible to do so with A12 conrod?

i'm running out of an idea..

My A14 block has been decked 2.3mm off..so i'm wondering if i'm still able to do the conversions with the block?

i dont think the Rb's piston can be shave 5.3mm the top off..(taking the point from the standard block height with the
A14 conrod)

I'm in a middle of gathering some informations for myself,to put the RB20's piston in A14 block..

so far, what i've found that,in A15 block with A15 conrod, the RB piston will exceed 3mm from the top of the deck..

Is it the same scenario if i'm doing that in A14 block? What if i'm using A12 conrod?

Thanks.

my questions is,
what is the differences between A12 & A14/15 conrods?
Can A12 conrod be use with A14 crankshaft?

Many Thanks.

Hi Guys,

What is the valve clearance/adjustment that i should go for if i've skimmed/milled the head surface 2mm off?

Can i go for 0.013 COLD or 0.014 HOT?
Is it still safe to do so?

Thanks.
