I hate bloody spammers who trawl through the web collecting e-mails off sites like this just to send us crappy info about stuff like search-engine submitting and placement.



So I decided to spam em back - Everyday I will be sending christine@trafficmagnet.net e-mails about my buisness's perhaps she is interested in Datsun repairs or tyres for her car or maybe even wedding car hire or this great little leather dressing product I sell for leather interiors or maybe she'd like to hear about the great deals I do on web design and search engine placement

maybe she wont want know about any of it and be quite annoyed with my e-mails..........oh well.

I had a really 'good' morning this morning and her f$#!ing spam mail in my inbox was the last straw, I do realize that it is her job, but she will pay for crossing a datsun driver (just as those f$#!ers in big cars who always cut you off will)

Firstly sorry guys but the 1200coupe dash has been sold.

I know its a long shot but has anyone got a 1000 coupe dash they wanna sell?? or maybe knows someone who does?

Finally got stuck into the the 1000 on the weekend and ripped out the old 4speed and Diff and started on the mods for the 5speed to go in.

Does anyone know if the spedo drive on the 5 speed is the same as the 1200?
I know the 1000 and 1200's are the same but am unsure about the 5speed

I dont want to put the box in only to find that its incompatible with my spedo, and that I havent made room for a adaptor box.

I've found amongst my parts the dash insert for a 1200 coupe that contains the Speedo and Tacho, which are both intact
and in good nic.

No use to me, so I may as well get rid of them

Had a look at a 1000 coupe the other day and Im pretty sure Im going to buy it, but it leaves me with my 1000 sedan to get rid of.
Its got a nice new metalic blue paint job, set of hotwire mags, new A14 with extractors, I re did the interior about 4 years ago with bucket seats and new carpets-door pannels.
Kenwood Cd player
sony 220w amp and 6x9's.

Problem is I dont have a clue what its worth!!
is $4000 too much to ask? I've been looking arround but I havent seen any examples similar to mine for sale. id like to think the 1000 is a bit of a collectors item. Has anyone sold

Im putting the 5spd into a 1000 manual transmission shell the 1000 had an even smaller case and bellhousing on the gearbox than the 1200 and the 5spd I've got has both
a bigger bellhousing and case. So its Oxy torch and angle grinder my little 1000

Hey sorry guys but I've got two more questions about 5 speeds and I promise I'll never ask any again!

Im just a little confused as I've been told and I've read that there were only two types of 5 both with a dogleg pattern, The gearbox I have is exactly like my 4 speed gearpattern
but above reverse is where 5th is, it looks somthing like this

(5th is actually closer to 3 than R is to 4)
Is this the type of gearbox you guys are talking about Apparently it came out of an A14 sunny wagon.
Second Question. If you know of this box can you tell me if the Flywheel and clutch are different from the stock A14 units? Im about to start cutting my trannie tunnel in preparation
of putting the 5 speed in, but I dont want to start until I have all the necessary bits.
