Anyone know of a new 1200 parts importer in the Perth area. 5 speed boxes A14; new body panels ( genuine or aftermarket), A14 engine parts, tail gates etc.?

L18...L18...L18 This particular event was held on a closed off public road cause Durban doesn't have a dedicated drag track built yet. Believe it or not we do have other "real" tracks in SA, with good timing equip, but because we live in a third world country where most of taxpayers money ends up in crooked politicians back pockets, and not in sport facilities, we have to make do. As for the tree/timing equip you can't see in the photo - maybe because if you put said equip inline with the cars, the drivers wouldn't be able to see it too well out the front windscreen, clever boy!!

Minesh seems you've stirred the bees nest (of the non-believers)!! I've seen the car run with my own eyes and it is true, also backed up by S&S magazine in print and dvd's of the Durban drags. Aussies are a bit far away to be crying "Bullshit", don't you think? Without having seen the car run you cannot and should not shoot the guy down quite so bad!! Come to SA and see it. Non-believers can have free accomodation at my place - just to shut them up.
Cheers - Bones

The turbo is on a 2 litre 16valve DOHC FE3 mazda motor in a 1200 ute. Boost threshold is a tad under 4000rpm which pulls until about 7900 odd rpm (where my limiter is at). I need to identify the compressor housing size, upgrade is in the pipeline! I'll post some pics in the photo area, if anyone recognises the size please drop me a line

Can any of you tell me what size my turbo is that I bought my ute with. Turbine is a Garret T4; BUT the compressor has the following stamped on it: a/r.50 m-12 L I was told its a TO4E compressor housing, it also has a built in polished inlet plenum, which sticks out about 40mm for the airfilter boot (100mm id) to fit over. Can someone shed light on this??

Yes, peak combus pressure may be reduced but Octane rating is all about how COMPLETELY a fuel burns ie. high octane fuel=slower flame front =more complete combustion=greater thermal energy created =more power especially in a turbo engine(according to BP petrochemical engineers comment I found on Yank site) There are so many other factors governing detonation ie. intake temp etc; not just dropping the comp ratio. This is why the Dahlback racing golf 4 ( www.Dahlbackracing.se) can run on +-112 octane fuel @ 3,6 bars boost and a 9.8:1 comp ratio. This is all very well BUT I still seek that optimum mix ratio for toluene to race gas, someone must know it?
