I recently bought two twin 40 mm side drafts for $300, but thats a good price, they in good nick too.Then u need a manifold - about $170 - $200 there. Call errol at www.datrats.com.au -
hes a good bloke and will give u the best price.
Unless you going to modify the engine , you can get them tuned real lean, but theres not much point in that. Mods that are useful are a different cam, head porting, exhaust( as the webers
put a lot through an engine, it needs to breathe clearly)and maybe fuel pump upgrade, but stockie would probably do.
You may be able to use an a14 or a15 head - they about $150 - $250 i guess.

If only you could have been teaching my class when we did DC motors - Im an apprentice electrician, and that class was sooo boring, but a bit of hands on, 1/4 mile practical
work would have spiced my class up!
carefull with those batteries, my boss got burned by about 20 in series, and had his wrist watch melted off(its ok, he was an arse hole).

what is the best approach to cutting a guard? I will be cutting the frontedge of the wheelarch back, pretty much taking the corner off, so the tyre doesnt rub. is it better to
cut about 7-8 mm extra, and fold it under to make a new lip, or just cut it clean online? is it better to use tinsnips, or something else? has anyone got pics of their guards
with or without flares?

What else has to be done ? Is it possible o have an emmissions - legal weber engine? ill have the breathers running into filters, but what
about the charcoal cannister?
I heard that rego guys (in NSW) arent meant to check stuff like that, but i want to make sure...
