what is wrong? is it that the engine mounts do not line up? If so, u need to get the left one from the a12, and get the right one(dizzy side) from
an a14/15 vehicle.
what else doesnt fit?
the crossmember perhaps? get one from a 1200 ute.it will fit.

Be more specific about your problems, and we can help. It is the easiest engine swap there is, apart from putting in another a12.
Good luck

Linc.

ps which country u from?

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that the Pepsi symbol, and the datsun logo look somewhat similar? I think there is something in that. Has
anyone tried pepsi injection?

I took out the rad, and reverse flushed it, and a heap'o'crap came out, but there is still more stuff stuck in it that i can see, but not dislodge. I may try some coke in it, or take
it to a mates rad shop.
But since flushing it , it is running a lot cooler, barely above normal temp.
thanks for all help..

Jaime - this fire situation is nearly one of the worst ever.every other 20 years, it is fine.
Arsonists have been responsible for an estimated 95% of these fires.
As for the part about the bush regrowth, give it 6 months, and you would barely know a fire had been there. There is already regrowth in the bush near my house... The aussie
bush NEEDS fire to keep alive (sounds strange) , lots of the plants require fire to open seed pods.
So even though it is particularly bad at this time, Australia is still pretty damn good!
As for the bit about Aussies being excellent - DAMN STRAIGHT!~

Cheers, Linc

Ps thanks USA for the water choppers - they are awesome, who would think they are powered by A series?!?

hey all -
the new engine appears to be running a bit hot - it is an a15 too. it replaced an a14, so does that mean the radiator is a bit small? The guage gets to about 3/4 temp, but
hasnt boiled yet, there again i havent been in traffic jams much either...
I took out the thermostat, flushed the block and radiator with a hose (and some stuff from a bottle), the water level isnt dropping, i am running about 80% coolant too.
I will try what ian suggested, flushing the radiator from the bottom end tomorrow...
So, has anyone had cooling problems after putting a big block a15 in, with an a14 radiator? (its in a sunny too.)
Should i use Fanta instead of regular coolant?

At 12:00 on christmas day i was having lunch with family, and we were talking about how smokey it had become during the night (as there was fire about 20km away)... by 2:00 i was filling
the gutters with water, 2:30 we were putting spotfires out at my place, and not long after that my dad and i were across the road keeping fire off a neighbors place. Their garage went
up, but the house was ok.
It is hard to imagine what its like in a fire, but i think arsonists should be shown... forget human rights - if i see someone lighting a fire by a roadside, i WILL run them over, even
if driving my 1200.

i got that off my chest....Ahh.

Merry Xmas.
