Yep - we tried the coil lead from another car - additionally checked it with a timing light nothing - no spark from the coil - brand new coil from my rebuild. Yeh, I will go through each wire to ensure that each is connected etc - the question I have is - can the immobiliser cause this type of issue - well what I mean is that the engine will not kick over until the immobiliser has been de-activated however can it interfer with the provision of spark? thanks

Yeh, I have changed the condensor, I would suggest you may be right with the ballast resitor - it happend to me before on a Datsun Sunny. Very similar expereince - well I may try and get a balast resistor and see what happens - the RAC did however test it - but I would suggest it may have provided him with good test results as it was not completly stuffed at that stage - what da ya think?

hey guys my car broke down yesterday got it back to mine for some reson it not getting spark at all????? any ideas???? any one live near cockburn central and wanna have a look at it????
