Hey Guys!

I haven't been on here in ages! How is everyone going?

Earlier in the year I considered selling my coupe before heading over to Europe. I decided against that then but now I'm over there, currently in Italy, some extra cash would be lovely and was thinking about selling up again as it's just sitting in my mothers shed. After seeing this video there's no way I'm selling. Just fell back in love. DISCLAIMER: I know it's not everyones style of how to deck out their car but I'm a fan (but not going to this extreme with my coupe).

hey team

just a repost from ozdat but thought you guys should see this seeing as the more the merrier :)

Quote:
I thought it was about time somebody organised this, it's only about six weeks away but hopefully that's enough time for everybody to blow the dust off their Datsuns since the last one. My only registered Datsun runs out of rego on the 20th and to be honest I'm not sure what will be happening after that, so this is the latest weekend that I'll be able to attend in a Datsun. (In saying that, last year I had to take my RX-7 and everybody just followed that all day.)

Here are the details as copied from one of the others:

10:00AM Meeting point at Chirnside Park Kmart Auto Car Park

Maroondah Hwy & Black Springs Rd Chirnside Park 3116

Melways page 37, in F5 and G5

11:30AM Leave first meeting point heading to Buxton via Maroondah Hwy

Quick stop at Maroondah Reservoir/Dam to bunch up and let everyone catch up before we hit the Black Spur as a group.

12:30-1:00PM Arrive at Igloo Roadhouse for the famous Buxton Burgers

2:30PM Head back towards Melbourne (if everyone gets through the burgers by this time)

3:00PM Show and Shine, chit chat and brag, photos and vids at Fernshaw Picnic Grounds car park.

4:00PM (or more if needed) Heading back to Melbourne.

Last year myself and Ryan went back through the Reefton Spur which we decided was far better than the Black Spur, so if anybody feels like doing the run back through there it would be pretty fun.

Apart from the departure time of 11:30AM, all other times are APPROXIMATES
ONLY and may change throughout the day.

There is always Police presence on the Spur and it is notorious for accidents, be sure to take care through it.

This is a cruise and not a race so enjoy it for what it is, a cruise.

Safe driving and enjoy the day.

So who else is up for the run? Post if you're keen and I will add you to the list

Attendees:

-green200b
-Ryan
-Dato200B
-sik 510
-Jetdat
-DATTOCAM
-trb012
-hailest
-spatchcock
-Green510
-mick
-datsonial
-unfamilia
-SR20Datsun

who's in?

ps, here'e the ozdat thread thread

Hey hey

In having the same problem.

Just mocked together the brakes on some spare struts to see if they would fit over my newly acquired ssr mk's 13x7j

The hit on the caliper on the following place. I chalked them to find out. I'm planning in running a small spacer but filing the caliper did come to mind

hey guys,

im having an issue with my pug 306!

here's the dealio (i'll keep it brief)

306 s16 2.0 petrol...

-blew the head gasket randomly 2 months ago...
-took it to a garage. got it all fixed. brilliant!
-one week later it starts to heat up. when i turn the car off coolant overflows from the cap itself!
-take it back. they replace the cap and find any small leaks and fix them up
-happens again a few days later
-take it back. the replace the thermostat and it seems okay
-happens again.
-take it back. they take the radiator out, get that looked at, its fine. the replace hoses and seals... all looks good. hold pressures but is still loosing water..

long story short is that the cooling system is holding pressure but loosing 1L of water each trip! it seems like when i turn the car off, the water swells up... and then the water leave decreases, then increases like a wave in my radiator..

what could this be??? thermostat? cap? head gasket? all which they replaced... or water pump???

i just want to be able not to worry every time i drive!!!!!

many thanks in advance
D

hey man

i have a single dellorto sidey and manifold to suit an a12 if you're keen although it does need to be re-jetted and needs an air filter. not sure if you classify that as a "headache"

located in mount eliza, 3930

text me on 0401590093 if you're keen.
