Once I get the whole conversion done and know exactly what castor I need, my plan is to make my own bolts up. Like aidanel said, solid shaft with tread.
Also looking into bigger better rose joints, for the testing and mocking up phase these will have to do.
I have done a similar conversion on our Escort Mk1 race car, so far so good, it holds up, going to perfect it with the ute and then make the changes to the escort as it will be gathering dust for the next 20 months.

Got beneath the Ute last night and wrote the number down on the diff: 43100-GG655 the little plate also states it is a 3.89 ratio.
Searched the Tech Wiki and did not find the number.
Well what this comes down to, I'm looking for a LSD insert for it. Does anybody know if one of the H series inserts will work in it?

Oh crap I should post an updated foto from last night. The rose joint is kept in place with two nuts, so it cannot be moved, at the end of the day it will be two locking nuts.

Not me, had a standard carb, Weber 36 DCD and now a set of Dual SU's on the A14, still using the original legnth cable, just replaced it with a new one.

Yesterday assembled it with a M12 HT bolt, worked great, will one day when it is in use see if it holds up, otherwise the next step will be to get a rose joint with a bigger diameter, even if this means re tapping thread on the shock.
Castor is adjusted by moving the rose joint from left to right by turning a nut or two on the bolt.

You think that is a issue for you, I'm in SA, any non standard part is a issue if the budget is tight.

If you have time on your hands to keep them clean, WHITE with that blue will be awesome.
