a little help from our racing friends would be nice, i have a spare shell from a sunny b310, am keen to have a go at a full chassis race car, what classes exist to race such a car in, i thought a sr20det as power plant. i am in rockhampton but would travel to brissy to race the car and line it up at local drags for test and tune, due to lack of any other kind of local track. also considered runnin in a local hill climp event.

is a b310 79 model yeah, ihave a guard that is in ok condition when you say rh do you mean drivers or passengers, mine is drivers.
it has tiny bend all the way down botton at front unnoticable and easy to fix and very tiny rust in back near door also easy fix but can be used as is without seeing either from the outside, i maybe able to help with blinkers but my spare bar and apron are bent i think, where are you though.

i find that if i actually have a long enough straight line i can get mine to about 6500, i haven't tried for more cause noise and rattles are a little scary, besides that is where the factory says it makes its whole 69hp.
i would guess at a timing or fuel prob too, mine is bog standard and can get it to there.

thanks for all the help, advise was really very helpful, after much consideration i have decided to use the draw through setup but wit an lpg throttle body, and setup and tune the motor to run gas only, many advantages like the fact that its already gas, its cold, its cheap and it runs really well upto about 10psi according to the experts at gas research, and as a bonus its cheap and they seem to think 120hp from a resonable stock motor is quite achievable.
