Hey guys, VK commodore efi ran the sensor bolted to the back of the head, where the sensor ran through a hole in the bellhousing onto the teeth of the flex plate. Has anyone considered this? I cant remember if it had another pickup for no. 1 cylinder, but I know it had an empty distributor, just a cap and rotor purely for distribution of the spark so the sensor was for injection timing and ignition coil. It ran a standard coil from memory. JD

I went to battery world for a watch battery, $4.50ea (my watch takes 3- diving watch). This was after checking online where I could get 5 for $6 delivered but I thought I would get it done today. I know this is chicken feed, but $6 vs $22.50? This is a 375% mark up. Buy online.

No experience on Datsuns, but some info: A mate has a Brougham, 350 chev, ran 10's on avgas. Due to the avgas problems of only being able to drive it on the street on an organised cruise and having to notify the authorities when he did, he switched to e85. He changed the fuel cell, all lines, fuel pressure reg, fuel pump and carby. Basically a new fuel system. He did a dyno run on avgas prior to changing everything, and had it tuned afterwards. Final result was about 10hp more on e85, but most of this was put down to a better state of tune as he hadnt tuned it properly for about 12 months. Basically as stated all rubber lines etc need to be changed and the system needs to be clean. Floats in the carb need to be compatible. Fuel pumps may need to be changed too. Not a matter of just putting e85 in, you need to do a bit of work first. JD
