Stripped the boot lit tonight when I got home from work and found a skin of bog. A elephant may or may not have sat on it at some stage.

May look for a reproduction or a better example of one, it's not ugly but the sheet is actually separated from the frame too.

The stripper is actually called "rapid paint stripper" pt no. RPS4 . (4lt)

Car is all original even down to the acrylic paint.

It's k&h paint stripper - the one with the pink label not the brown. i'll get the pt no in the morning for you if you like. The brown label is not as strong

Today i removed the rest of the glass, door mech and chrome trims. Found a little surface rust under the rear window seal
Also found a shopping list behind fuel tank which had on it:

Butter
Sardines
bread
snickers
newspaper

Which reminded me i needed a snickers.

Also K&H have reintroduced there napalm mixed with bleach paint stripper (not really those ingredients but Im calling it naplam because i had an itchy nose and wiped it with the back of my hand- turns out the stripper was on the glove AND on my nose!!! , and as for the bleach smell ZOMG when the rep said open ALL doors i now know he was serious)

Heres some pics of 5 mins after application

and then roof finished

ps NHB006 that fan has nice dish... where can i get one?

Tell him it's going to another shop ( for painting or some sh$# ) and you need it back it two weeks, have you asked for a price on it yet? don't get stooged by a@$ hole tax!

Is he charging the storage fee either way or just if you take it now?

Well up to you,I'd just remain polite but forceful . Don't let it go past two weeks, you don't wanna look like a sucker who'll put up with it.

I'd rather give my money to someone who deserves it

As much as I hate saying this- speak to Business and Consumer affairs-

tell your mate to give BOTH sides of the story and find out what their opinion is. I own a business where customers cars may be stored and as far as it being legal it has to agreed upon before commencement of work or when situation arises. ( which doesn't include what's happened to him)

it would smell very much like the business in question is now trying to recoup lost income on your mate taking the work of them.

Hopefullyhe gets it out of there quick
