very good read so far :) , im doing sr20de conversion in my coupe. just waiting on one engine mount :(

go to bursons/supercheap buy some gasket paper , mark it out , cut and fit. done it with my 1200 ute as it broke removing the carb.

minitrucked 1200 utes :( .. i knew this day would come.

ITEM:
Lynx1000 manifold to suit datsun 1200 A12, round port
Twin Su Carbys (came of a 6 cylinder so linkages need to be shoterned to suit application)
Complete A12 engine and box , runs , blows a lot of smoke , gearbox needs bushings in shifter, but otherwise works fine (has standard manifold and carby fitted)

CONDITION:
manifold : as new
carbys : unsure on condition as ive never had them fitted.
engine&box : working, blows white smoke and needs shifter bushings.

REASON FOR SELLING:
putting a sr20 in my coupe so its not needed.

PRICE AND PRICE CONDITIONS:
carbys , linkages and manifold together $300
engine&box = make an offer

keen on mirrors , they bullet ones?

see thats where i was confused
i didnt know the rad support had to be cut :(
i knw the tunnel had to be cut. (its man)
and im unsure if i have the xmember
because its mounted in a 4x4 and :S
is it better off buying one from maddat pre done
or getting one from a s13 at the wreckers and fabbing it to fit

forgot to mention
its still the standard 5 speed s13 box
just goes through a transfer box

hey everyone
i bought a 1200 coupe about a month ago and was told it needed a rebuild
anyway long story short i whacked 12 months rego on it
and some globes . a week ago i lost all power to the 3rd cylinder
so its a slug and blows more smoke then you can imagine
but . i have a project 1200 ute that had a sr20de donor car ready to be swapped over into it.
but my old man tore his arm ligiment off and cant touch that car for 6 months
so . can everyone tell me exactly whats needed to drop the sr20 into the coupe
the donor car starts runs and drives perfect , but. its in a datsun 720 (4x4) yes bizzare i know.
if someone that has done the conversion can let me know exactly whats needed to get the engine into the car
then it would be amazing
tailshaft and diff can be sourced later , just want the engine in the car so im motivated to finish it :)
were looking at doing it this long weekend
i have a full workshop to do the conversion and all the tools
but ill admit , im a young bloke with not much knowledge of the conversion.

hey mate , how much for rear seat ,diff and tailshaft , and rear bar please.
my rear rear seat is so ripped and rear bar is cracked due to rear ender :(
work out a price and let me know :)
