I did my own trans tunnel a while ago and it is no easy task. I'm more than happy with it tho. What material are you using there? Looks like .8?
Nice work on slotting the engine and box in
Chuck some decent plates on the gb mounts inside to spread the load out.
I know what its like doing work out of someone elses shop/shed thats ages away but keep chugging away mate...
Keep up the good work

Looks good dude keep plugging away and you have a new season of car racing atarting soon,
Race cars needs huge flares and a $hit paint job though. Then tyre markes up the doors

You have a pm demac!

Il just say if you have to deal with an engineer over your build or conversion make shore there happy with what ever fuel setup your doing. Was annoying having to cut out and fix up under my ute.

Demac- I am talking about the same engineer as you are! Seems there is quite a bit of inconsistency as to what is 'fine' and what isn't. Either way a drop tank behind the diff will be going in once signed off

I was going the r31 tank way and the engineer I had do first couple of inspections won't off on a tank behind diff housing! Silly And not so for different reasons both ways but that's what's on my report so far. Il be going a fuel cell and pot in tray just behind cabin!

I have just done the after maket seat fitment using rpm brackets. I used the standard mounting points in my ute and it all worked out really well in the end. The drivers seat is now more central to the steering wheel than before and the seats also fit with a very large custom trans tunnel.
If you would like photos pm me with a number to txt as there is a few on my phone and id be Happy to have a chat about it.

The ute front mount only has one bush if I recall. One large Center bolt that the leaf can pivot on then two small bolts to Center and hold the large bolt in and from flogging out. There isn't a top and bottom at the front for a ute. That's how we come to this problem

My opinion and what I have done is sorce the parts you want to go into this motor abduction take it to a engine builder! Get 20-40thou over pistons, your rods, arp bolts and let him get the bearings as they may be different sizes after the crank gets linished.
I didn't want to spend 3-5g on parts to get the slightest clearance wrong and loose parts in a let go . A standard motor wouldn't be so bad but not after a forget set up is built
