Clean up the bad piece to bare metal around the edges to find the spots. Then get yourself a spot weld drill bit, then unpick the one you have and weld in new piece. There is a bit of work in it but take your time and fix it up you could stuff around with the one that's there to.

Has your engineer given you the go ahead on your gear box xmember? Good to get that extra bit of ground clearance!

-s13 clutch master to slave and lines
-front vent panels and ute inner tray panels
-wiper motor
-ca sensors, harmonic balancer, 3fuel rails and 8 injectors + regs
-factory clutch cable
-twin pot mc (Nabco 11/16)
-brown original steering wheel (needs a good clean)
-r13 fuel tank and sender. Sand blasted and powder coated black. Mint condition
-2 compleat heaters. One black one brown working fine with no leaks when in car last
-2x 4inch speakers
-2x 6x4inch speakers
-a sparco 4 point harness with seat belt locking mech 50mm wide

I see. if there is enough room and easy to move it could be an idea. then put an oil cooler on the passenger side to up the volume and get the oils cooled keeping engine temps down.
Good stuff. Have you managed to get to winton for a timed lap yet?

Looking good and nice pics at WAkefeild. The stance is nice and looks stable threw turn 2.
Having your thermo on the passenger side when the rad is not a cross over may not cool as good as having it on the drivers side?? Just a thought
