I am in the process of engineering a 1200/ca ute.
Story goes like this..
I have a hot motor getting built, new turbo, new clutch and a wolf 3d to run it all (may go stinger ems yet)

I also have a standard engine, box and turbo so il be installing these to get the road tests and all signed off while it's in under coat with all the emitions gear as needed. After I have the papers it will be stripped out to get paint/ pannel done and all the new running gear will go back in it along with a watts/4 link rear.

So that's the low down but to bolt this gear I'm in need of a clutch and pressure plate in drivable condition to get the handling and brake test out of the way.

Can anyone help me out??? Whether I rent/buy/lend I'm shore we can figure it out.
I'm in Melbourne but let me know if you can help
Thanks Rhys

What a $hit mechanic. I hate it when this happens and I have a mate who have gone threw 9k on his ute to date and still have crook lifters that he has been charged for a full set brand new!!!
Anyone who uses a spanner and socket set can do the process of illumination but that's what is trying to be ovoided by going to a mech.
I have been in this situation and paid reluctantly but still wish I never did.
Sorry to hear about a situation like this and good luck!

Why are the utes heavier than the rest?
From all the extra weight Iv put in mine il have a really car comparative.
-hilux brakes.
-coil over front end
-4 bar / watts link rear
-16s
-dynamat threw the whole interia
-cooler,piping and all the bull $hit that goes with a ca conversion

On a plus side I have sand blasted 5 layers or paint from the tray and 3 from under the car!
Il be interested in seeing what the total weigh comes to. Hope it's near the 900kg mark but not shore now.

Thats a nice ride..
I with track cars come up like this in Aus as often. Seems the mighty dato is a common car to build in the states.
Thanks for sharing

That's some great work there mate well done.
Your Old man is a champ for banging that together I think
It looks porn...... Nothing like seeing the bottom of a custom tank hanging under a quick car, it just adds to its look.
Is the small central tank were you will put an inbuilt pump or you running an external setup?
If you want to do two more guards let me know your address to send them lol

Keep it up
