Hi mate You probably know tihs already but most engineers want to see the car progressively throughout the build rather than just have someone front up with a finished product for them to rubber stamp. As has been suggested above it is best to consult an engineer during the iitial planning stage and work with them throughout the build. Matty
Welcome mate and good luck with the build. There are plenty of people on here who can assist with advice when/if required.
My brother got his engine crane from a place called Trade Tools here in Brisbane for under $200 on special. It may be worth keeping an eye on the tool shops in your area in case something like this pops up.

The way I read that section of the regs is that you are fine to race as is. However, if I ever have a question mark over something in the regs I send the organiser and email and then print off the response. The printed response then sits with my Cams license and entry form so if there is any issue during scrutineering I can readily produce it.

To hire a trailer in Brisbane for a long weekend costs somewhere between $300-$400. They are usually extremely heavy too meaning increased fuel consumption and more strain on the tow vehicle.
I went thirds with my old man and brother in a 450kg trailer that is rated to 1.5 tonne. Haven't looked back and it has more than paid for itself over the past 2 years.

I am one of the lucky ones but, like everyone, I know people who have literally lost everthing. One of my colleagues lost 2 relatives in Toowoomba, one a child, hence my lack of humour.
Anytime children or animals are killed it upsets me greatly and there have too many lost this week.
