Hi everyone
I have heaps of parts that I need to get rid of in the next week as I'm moving to a new house with a smaller garage soon.

The following parts I'm willing to give away to good homes:
A14 motor, ignition coil, 4 12" wheels with good rubber, stock springs and spring tops, front drum brake parts including near new shoes, heaps of tappet covers, good Monroe front shockies, spare tyre bracket, stock headlights, alternators, starter motors, valve gear, timing chains, intake manifolds, stock carbies. I'll have a look in the next day or two to see what else there is.

Other parts that I'll take offers on are:
a Weber 32/36 carbie and adaptor plate, new 20 thou oversize pistons, good stock radiator, ute fuel tank.

I'm after a glovebox lid and some other stuff so I'm happy to swap parts as welll.

Whatever doesn't get picked up or sold will be going to the dump next weekend.
You can contact me on 0402 481 829 or by email at mattbehan@picknowl.com.au.
Regards Matty

I've got a ute tank that you can have for a carton of Carlton middies but you'll need to organise freight.

That's a very smart way of looking at it old school. I'm in the same boat as I bought my ute to have a bit of fun and make trips to the tip easier while renovating my house. Famous last words.

Guys I forgot to put in my post that I also have a complete 2" sports exhaust for a ute for sale. It has done about 2000kms. I have the receipt to show that it cost me $220 several months ago. Buy me a carton of Carlton Midstrength stubbies and it's yours.

Hi mate
I picked up a CA18DET with new turbo, gearbox, new clutch, computer and loom for $1500. If you are paying someone else to do the installation expect it to cost between $5000 and $8000 for a professionally completed job with a mod plate, intercooler, exhaust etc. This price range doesn't include the motor, gearbox etc or brake and diff upgrades.

I went through all this when I fitted some R31 steel wheels. The absolute ideal size is 185/55 R14. There are several tyre manufacturers that make tyres in this size. Falken,Dunlop and Michelin were 3 of the better brands that I found. I ended up going with 175/60 R14 Falken Real Sports Azenis and I am absolutely over the moon with their performance!!!

Having just gone through the same questions as you I eventually opted for the CA. My reasons were the fact that the CA is a lighter, more compact motor meaning the handling of the car isn't affected as much. Also, CA's are significantly cheaper to buy than SR's. I bought my CA18DET with gearbox, computer and loom for $1500. The dollars you save buying a CA over a SR could be put towards a brake and suspension upgrade or tapping into the huge horsepower potential of these motors.

Hi all
I'm trying to clear some space in the garage so feel free to make me an offer on any of the following parts.

twin 40mm Webers on a GX manifold with linkages, filters etc

32/36 Weber- freshly rebuilt

A14 - in need of a rebuild

new A14 pistons with rings

4 original 1200 12" steelies with tyres

starter motor, ignition coil, radiator, rocker covers, front coils, headlights etc, etc......

There are probably more parts that I have forgotten about so please ask if there is something you are chasing. I don't have any spare tail lights, bumpers etc just mechanical parts.

Two colours I like at the moment are the Holden Brock blue that was on the VK SS Group A and the gun metal grey on the current model Ford XR series.
