Why not just fit a new 3 row core in place of the 2 row original? I've been quoted $300 for this with a 5 year warranty? I know it's more money but it'll look original and should theoreticely give you 33% more cooling. Matty
If you want a liitle bit more power without breaking the bank fit a Weber 32/36 carb, extractors and a 2" exhaust. If this isn't enough consider going to an A14 or A15 or having the head ported and the compression raised. Matty
I use Penrite HPR40 in my tired A14 and Castrol GTX3 in my 1997 Toyota Starlet. I started using Penrite oil on the recommendation of my brother and I have since changed the diff and gearbox oils over to Penrite as well. Good stuff at very reasonable prices. Matty
Mazda 626 - I use PULP every now again for the cleaning benefits from the detergents. I have done stop watch tests etc and never found any noticable difference in performance between the 2 fuels.
The previous owner of my ute has fitted the Morey's power booster system which basically adds a protectant to the carb/s so it can run on unleaded fuel.
Do A series motors need the protection for the valve seats etc? I run the car mainly on unleaded with the odd tank of premium when I'm feeling rich.
I've seen a couple of 1200 sedans getting round with ET alloys on them. Would fitting front wheel drive wheels affect the life of your wheel bearings or change the handling of the car? Anything else? Thanks Matty
