I've always loved the shape of the 1200 and 1000's. Particulary the utes.
One of my uncles owned a 1200 many years ago. He was/is a bit absent minded and forgot to service it for a few years. The little 1200 kept ticking!!!. After owning a couple of Suzuki and Bits-r-shitty sardine tins I decided to buy a car that is tough, reliable and fun.
But my favourite thing about my ute is that it's like driving a go kart with a roof. Matty
Mate I had the exact same problem when I had a new key cut and tried it for the first time. I used a lubricant called Inox and it fixed it no problem at all. Give it a try. Matty
The car will primarily be a road car with the very occasional club day at QLD raceway so I don't want something that has nothing under 3000rpm. I guess most of my driving is between 2500 and 5000rpm. I would like to be able to rev it to 6500-7000rpm every now again however. Matty
Guys I know nothing about cams so any help on selecting one would be appreciated.
I have an A14 with 32/36 Weber, mild oval port head with double valve springs, extractors and 2" exhaust.
Should I get one for more torque or more top end etc?
I have sent off an email to Tighe Cams and I'll call JTS in the next couple of days but I'd like to hear from you guys re. what has worked and what hasn't.
