rather then rebuilding the A15 I have, I've decided to go ahead and look into the swap. Now, I want to get everything straight before pulling the existing drivetrain. I'm going to try and do the swap in a single day. Easy as long as everythings already done. The tech wiki isn't really specific got the B310.

My first question is: does the clutch line, speedo cable, etc all bolt up to the L series tranny?

Also, IIRC I read that I can use a driveshaft from a sunny that came with an auto transmission. Is that correct? If so, is there a specific transmission I need in order to do this?

Next, I'd like to know what (if any) crossmember modifications I'm going to need in order to bolt it directly in.

Should I switch to an electric fuel pump at this point, or should I stick to the engine mounted pump?

Thanks in advance for the answers. I'm a noob to L series, so I'll be asking quite a few questions in this thread as I go through the process.

Hey dave, the B310 struts should work with the same configuration on this, right?

Thanks for the advice guys!! I'll be calling Delta later to get a price.

Hey EDP, you should post your build over on Ratsun! Those guys would love to see your 1200. Any progress with her?

Hey guys! Long time no post.

So I'm getting ready to do a full rebuild of my 210's A15 since she's throwing fits and I'm looking for opinions on what to do with it while it's out.

I've already located a full rebuild kit here including everything from pistons to oil pump and full gasket set with bearings with the option of oversize bearings, rings, and pistons. I was planning on having the block bored 40 over and ordering oversized pistons. Now at the same time I was looking into maybe having the cam reground although, I'm completely lost as far as cam profile. Who's sporting a reground A series cam that can give me advice on deciding what kind of profile I want for a daily driven A15?

Also, at the same time I'm planning on upgrading to a header as well as some custom fabricated quad Keihn CVK40's. I'm a few weeks out on pulling it and will end up dismantling it before I even order the kit (just in case I need to have crank work done and use oversized bearings) so I have plenty of time to explore and decide what I want to do with it while it's apart.

My ignition is already up to par with an MSD Blaster 3 coil and the Streetfire CDI ignition box.

Here's what I'm working with now..

Opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Max bore on A15

As the title says, what is the max bore that you can have on an A15? My engine's going to need new rings, and has a pretty decent ridge, so i figured it may be about time to just have a fresh bore and hone. I want to increase the displacement as much as possible while it's apart since I've been looking at quad carb setups and forced induction.

Next question is, would I benefit any with a larger bore, or am i pretty much at peak power with 1.5L?

Also heard about CA18DET pistons and rods possibly fitting an A15, meaning maybe it can be boored to 1.8L?

Thanks in advance.

Also, in a semi-unrelated note, I LOVE the A-series engines. Believe it or not, my engine is actually down to an average of 50PSI of compression (tested on multiple testers to confirm accuracy) and still runs like a champ. It smokes, which is why I'm going ahead with the rings since I just rebuilt the head.

Hey guys,

I heard that the 280ZX struts and brakes are a direct swap into the B310. Is this correct? Any modifying at all or is it just as simple as a swap? Also, is it the same for the 300ZX Z31 struts/brakes?

Which wire is it? Where does it come from? I'm assuming it runs directly to the headlight?
