Don't know if it's the diff you're looking for, but the one in my 81 B310 Hatch W/A15 and 5speed will be replaced eventually. Soon I hope.

Made slow progress. Money is tight, so I'm limited to what I can do. But safety is my priority so I installed a harness bar and I've ordered harnesses for the car.
Got another job now that I'm starting next week, so expect more updates. Engine swap in the future. Also, suspension and rear diff also, so some of you aussies may want my diff I hear. lol If I ever get around to swapping it, that is.

So you think maybe the regulator could be bad? I didn't know it was on the lamp circuit. How can I test it to be sure it is or is not the problem?

Yes, that is correct. It's an 8.8MA drain if i remember correctly.

While on the topic.. What's the main difference between the '80 Coupe and '81 Hatch in dash electronics? I got a dash harness from Evan(EDP) to replace my hacked up spaghetti and it seems to be a good bit different. Doesn't have that 40MPH amplifier (yellow box thingy) OR a harness for the tach.. Seems kind of odd.

Any suggestions?
