Very nice, what size master cyl are you using for the brakes?
And no booster?

Do you know what size piston rings you have to use on them?
Is the A12 block an early block (dizzy up front) or late block (dizzy in the middle)?
What suburb of Melbourne are you in?
Thanks, Sam

Are they the same as a 4-speed switch? Same thread and other dimensions? Sounds like a mission for me to make an anorexic one for the 5-speeds! $10 a piece, they'll sell like hot cakes haha

Got to the dump and arm yourself with a phillips screwdriver, look for microwaves, usually have about 5 of those micro switches in them. If you want a round/ball headed switch, try fridges.
keep the screws which retain them as you'll have a hard time finding some the same size. You could also be inventive with an angle grinder and cut out the metal which the switches are mounted on and use it for a bracket, as most of the screws screw into a thread in the metal.
Whats wrong with using the original switch? or didnt 5 speeds come with a reversing light switch?

LOL havent been on here for ages. I got a new dash fascia for it last year and fixed up some more of the rust. Havent done anything on it for about 8 months, been busy trying to get my 1200 on the road.
Add me on Facebook (Sam Meloury) and browse my datto project albums for more up-to-date progress on my datto's.

Yes it is I who is chasing a 3spd MANUAL box, just the box, dont need any of the shift linkages. My mobile number is 0412404536, leave a message if you know the whereabouts of one and i'll get back to you ASAP.
Or email me using the address in my profile which is the best option, i check it pretty much every night.
Thanks, Sam
