So much wrongness...

H89 has small oval ports, 3 small holes for water heated manifold, standard sized valves

H75 has small oval ports, no holes for water heated manifold, largest valves of any production A-series head

GX has large oval ports, NISSAN JAPAN cast into it on top between the valve springs and the rocker cover (the only head with this feature), 4 large holes for water heated manifold, standard sized valves, double valve springs.

GX ports are not only bigger than the H75/H89, but they sit higher in the head than them. You could bolt a H75/89 manifold to a GX and it would work ok, but GX manifold on H75/89 head wouldn't work as well.

I have all 3 heads at the moment.

I'll load the pics to my 'Parts pics for explanations' album and tag you in them. You may have to keep reminding me on facebook because I will probably forget while busy working on other things.

Haha How long have you owned it? The last 4 or 5 owners never seemed to own it for any longer than 12 months. It's a tidy looking car though.

Standard Hitachi Downdraught carbies work on all standard A-series engines, A10 thru to A15, so it should be fine

Is it just me, or is it a bad idea to paint the inside of the sump?
