I have heard good things about Matilda Foundry in various places, they seem to do everything from pattern making to small production runs..

Has anyone thought about a folded sheet alloy style rocker cover?

Basically would only need a cut plate flange and then the rest would be sheet alloy cut, folded and welded? You can see an example of some Moroso ones on the front cover of the book Performance Fuel Injection Systems by Matt Cramer & Jerry Hoffman (check on Amazon for a cover pic you can zoom in on).
Could be made to look quite trick with quality welds and engraving/polishing to suit..

Chris,

just pulled mine out and it is in similar condition as Levey's, will get it in the post to you tomorrow.

Consider it a down payment on the flange drawing

back the h-brake right off and adjust the shoes. Then adjust the h-brake again. Then bleed the brakes thoroughly, that should sort it..

I am also interested in getting gears cut.

I agree that changing diff ratios helps but it also turns first gear into a waste of time so I also think a gear ratio change should go hand in hand with it.

The big problem with 60series boxes is the one piece countershaft so it either needs to be completely replaced with a splined shaft/gears setup or the old gears machined off and new ones welded back on.

All very $$ but I figure if guys are spending $10k+ on a CA swap, why not throw the same amount at an A series driveline..

Am a NA man..

Have had my time in boosted cars and heaps of fun but just love a crisp revving NA motor..

No idea if the triple pistons are suited, just remembered they were 79mm, no idea on pin dia and height..

I gotta put a vote to flying, if you only have a month you don't want to spend 3 weeks of it on a train..

If you are looking that far ahead you can get flights between capital cities for dirt cheap and simply rent a car to look around..

And yes, will reiterate what the others have said, it is a damn big country..

My 2c..

The pinion angle should be the same as the engine/gearbox angle.

It doesn't matter what the driveshaft angle is as long as the pinion angle matches the longitudinal crank angle, that way the unis at each end of hte shaft are in plane and cancel each other out.

Also, have you checked the driveshaft?
Are the unis in line with each other?
