I run 13x6 +15 with 185/60's, only thing I had to do was a very slight grind of the caliper bridge when using new pads but that is a rim design issue.

If the tyre clears the strut at standstill it should never rub during cornering! All the flex is where the tyre meets the road, not at the top where there isn't any load unless you are running completely wrong tyre pressures.

I currently have a set of Coby's (D2's, not fitted yet) but have also used them on quite a few other 1200's (always been the D2 - big bore side draught type) and never had any issues.

maybe it is the fact that I have been used to Coby prices but I have always thought the other generic name brands here in Aus are overpriced considering they are 50% $$ more but don't deliver 50% more of anything..

I have plenty of access to packing materials and able to make crates etc. if needed. No charge for it but it normally bumps up the postage price due to added weight/size etc. Could pack/ship to a central pickup point in each state?

Anyway I am good to pick up from you D

There is a bloke on Ozdat that does rebuilds of 1600 hinges and I thought I recalled him saying he could do 1200's as well. Give him a try and see what can be done..

Doesn't seem to be true multi coil as it still uses a distributor?

Some kind of redundancy built in or boosting the coil output maybe?

How is the water pump? I have had it where the blades were only slightly corroded but had a major affect on it's operation.
Also ditto on getting the rad rodded out, can look all good looking through the filler neck but could be majorly blocked.
