Noticed you removed you pic of your engineering papers lol . You finally learnt something- protecting your privacy. Now move along

Nope, not that smart.. Still left the same pic at the start of his whiny look-at-me project thread

Been following this with interest, not likely I will join in as I am only home 2 days a week as it is without disappearing into the shed

Anyway, have my 2c to add, how about these for rules?

1. Base car must be a 1200 or a thou. They are the point of this site aren't they
2. no limit on what the car costs to purchase - reason is that a lot of people won't have the room or $$ to get another car specifically for this challenge and so can use their existing datto
3. the $1300 limit comes in towards anything that isn't standard (and by standard I mean as it was delivered from the factory! Not how you bought it standard with a CA!).
4. suspension and brakes can be upgraded with other "bolt on" datto units for "free". More a safety issue than anything.

Have at it and see what can be run with it! Bring on the 13's!

the R is only a PR/engineering exercise, they won't be released at all, there are two of them and they apparently actually handle quite well.

They tracktested them at Dubai and it had all the attributes of the GTR but just a bit less stability due to the shorter wheelbase (and I would say most of that "stanilty" is due to the physical size/weight of the GTR).

I like it but I also have an English Bulldog so I can see the beauty in a short squat powerful package

There is a setup for sale on TradeMe periodically. He wants $1500 NZD for it so probably why it hasn't sold yet..

what is the suffix?

it may not be worth the effort in tuning them if they are the emmission type..

I can give you a basic starting point for jetting and then you should be able to work your way to a good setting with a bit of roadtesting and pulling plugs.

as far as I can work out, the only way is to get a custom gearset cut.

Once I get my parts 60L in my hands I am going to research this. I have heard that the 60L can be converted to a 1:1 fifth (i.e. true close ratio) with a mod to the internal selector mechanism and a custom gearset. Then it is just a factor of $$..
