the headers on my old SS ute were HPC coated (from new).

I was of the opinion it made a pretty noticeable difference to the engine bay heat. Also meant they clean up really well, I had the power steering pump blow the preesure pipe out of the pump body, blasting fluid all over the headers (just after a couple of full power runs on the dyno and then warming the tyres up some , so they were damn hot!). Flames everywhere and melted plastic under the bonnet but the headers came up like new afterwards..

Yep, the surface prep is where it's at.

Did our old 6x2 bay workshop years ago and lasted really well, took a lot of paint though!
Didn't use any grit and it was pretty (really!) slippery when wet, good fun when mopping the place every couple of months, sliding all over the joint

haven't had a problem with e-go yet..

Sent stuff to WA, QLD, NSW, SA. Depot to Depot, Door to Door, sending and receiving.

I guess it is all down to the quality of contractor at each end, that is where the highest chance is for a F-up.

nooo.. I can feel her pain, tiny little balls of molten fire all over her (and I'm not talking about welding slag here )

No worries mate, will sort it out, have a few other bits I need to collect round town as well so really should make a pick up run..

I'll take the seats on a couple of conditions..

1. you don't mind working around my piss poor ability to pick things up as I work out of town currently.

2. When I do come to get them, you have removed that cover and given it a decent burial, sheep have feelings and require love just like everybody else..

Also make sure that the waterpump is OK, as they get older and especially if they have been run without proper anti-corrosive coolant, the blades on the impeller can corrode. Also, the surface on the timing cover that the impeller runs against should also be smooth, otherwise it will cavitate and/or not flow well.

best thing was when the Rugby World Cup was in town, we got our local (had 95% kiwi's drinking there) to import Speights by the keg, they had a couple left over after and we snagged one for a house party, mmm Speights on tap in the kitchen, soo good..

Another converted! And thats why I bring as much back with me as I can every trip home!

A few pubs in Richmond have it behind the bar, along with other quality drops like Lion Red and Tui!

I think I saw it at the Mountainview last time I was there for the rugby??

Will check with a few of my Kiwi mates for you Don and let you know if there are any other places with it wholesale.
