Thanks for the replies friends. It is a 32/36 Weber with Auto choke. I played around a little with the idle speed adjustment and fuel mix screws. Set the idle a tad higher and the fuel mix to less rich. Still having the same problem. I reckon its got to do with either the dizzy as most of you have said so far or perhaps the fuel pump? What could be wrong with the dizzy and what should I check for? Appreciate the help once again.

Another noob question. I've been having a little problem when driving my daily ute. For about the first 10 min. or so of driving I am having some sort of hesitation when hitting the accelerator. Happens in first, second, even third gear. When I push down the accelerator, the engine rev's up then bogs down right away and it stays bogged until i let go of the peddle...pushing it in further doesn't help any. If I let off the accelerator even the smallest bit the engine rev's right up again and I gain the power back..however, it will bog down again a little later down the road. It does this even if I have enough rpm's to shift to the next gear...when I hit the gas after shifting it bogs down again. Seems to go away when the engine is hot after about 10 minutes or so of driving. It did this before I changed the carb to my new Weber...and the intake. The problem seemed to go away for awhile at first but its back now. Any ideas? Cheers.

I've got an oval port intake to suit an A15 with a standard carb attached if interested.

...I am slacking indeed! Think you sold me that unit Rob over four months ago. Finally found the gasket! Cheapa Auto Spares @ Oxenford had it. It is indeed part number jc214 as stated before. Spent today installing the intake and carby with the new gasket. Had a bit of trouble trying to get the throttle cable assembled to the Weber but we put some random bits from around my garage together to get the cable tight. Started first try! Sounds awesome and the engine runs alot better. It idles a bit high but with a little tuning its going to drive like a champ!
