In my CA18DET 120Y I have a CA S13 radiator with a 12" Davies, Craig fan. It works great but gets hot in traffic. I'm not sure if that's a weakness of the radiator, or the fan.

252rwhp @ ~15psi on fat tune (10:1) on a CA.

Would go 280rwhp+ on 18-19psi and something in the mid 11s AFR-wise.

Done well under 10,000km. Beats buying a 10yo turbo and beats paying full price for a new one :)

$900ono

will post at your expense

Guys I have CA S13 brakes on my 120Y (78 model).

I need to replace the wheel studs. Will the wheelstuds be 120Y ones?

if you have a fairly basic engine, in good condition and in a good state of tune, you'll get ten years out of sparkplugs.

hi mate

you need to make sure you have the right tyres, not just he right rims. a 185/65/14 is probably quite tall compared to the standard tyre?

the main thing is that it's not even close to a road car... no headlights etc... no rwc, no rego eithe rprobably.. by the time you do all the roadgoing stuff there's $2k to spend on it.

Ok well after much ado, I finally have some road wheels! A surprisingly expensive exercise in the end (three sets of wheels, one set of hubcaps, a round of powdercoating and a set of tyres), but after all that I'm quite happy with the result.

The other good thing is that having it rolling again also allows me to start making serious progress on the diff upgrade which is much delayed/long overdue.

I'll take some better pics in better light tomorrow, my camera phone simply doesn't cope with taking pictures at night. Still, this is enough to give you an idea what it looks like. Want to change wheelnuts and organise some basic centrecaps but you get the general idea.

Also making slow-but-steady progress on the boot trimming. This being the first real trimming I've done I had some initial issues, but now it's coming along nicely.

Again the pics are crap, I'll get a better one when I can get at the car in some daylight!

I've just gone to 175/65/14s using steel wheels from an 80's Toyota Corona. I'll have them back tonight and will post a pic as long as they fit :)

Hi mate, just an update on this. I used steel wheels from an ST141/RT142 Toyota Corona. Most models of the Toyota Corona with 14" wheels will be the same fitment so should not pose an issue.

Your local wrecking yard will sell you a full set of these for under fifty bucks.

Not a very good picture, but if gives you an idea how they look. I'll get some better pictures when I can get at the car in daylight!
