Rear fitment isn't a problem, as I'm cutting down a diff to suit. Fronts are 7" wide and +25 offset, has anyone fitted similar width/offset rims to the front of a 120Y?
Yes, I have the CA brakes (250mm?), not SR brakes.
Might have to start looking at alloys. Unfortunately alloys cost real money whereas most people would throw a set of 14" steelies at you if you called them a crunt :)
The other point of note is that I have R31 rear brakes... I wonder if those 13" alloys fit over R31 rears?
I notice you're in Wagga Wagga. Although I'm doing pickup only, perhaps you could organise another member to pick them up and post them for a six pack of beer or something? Unfortunately I just don't have the time to pack, send, etc.
The wheels look like wheels. As you'd expect for the age they could use a quick hit with a spraycan and have one or two little marks on the lips but no major damage I'm aware of. They were taken off the original XM Falcon sedan only a few months ago, they only came off the origuinal car then as the ownder upgraded to 5st brakes/wheels on his Falcon.
Have attached pic of hubcaps though. They have a few marks, but given this is for a set of five wheels with a very limited production run and a set of four hubcaps that although not rare I don't imagine are growing on trees I think the price is very very fair :)
Agreed on 200B brakes being a step backwards, I'd rather compromise by going up in wheel size rather than down in brakes. Not that circuit work is really an aspiration of this car, but it's pretty quick (and will become quicker) so more brakes can't hurt...!
Honestly, I always thought I'd put Superlites on my car but when I tried your 15s, the look really didn't suit the car... not sure if it's the shape or the colour. Ask Sam what he thought... anyway we agreed they're not the wheel for me. Although maybe in 13s they might suit it more? Wouldn't mind fitting up a set of Globe/Challenger style wheels to check it out.
