Hey everyone! I just got my 1200 running again last night!!! It's been down for about 4 weeks due to a cracked piston, no one could figure out exactly how it happened other than a
defective piston, which makes sense at only $20 a pop. Anyway, compression is great now ranging from 135-137 psi in all four and it runs like a champ once again! Thank God I have a
car to drive, I was getting tired of my mountain bike! I'll be at the car show tomorrow morning in Roundrock, see ya later!

Tim,

I tried the website sponsoring the Texas Datsun car show this Saturday, but none of the registration form links are working. In addition, there are no email addresses listed to
contact them and let them know I'm coming. It didn't say on the website, but is there a registration fee also? I gotta go polish/clean now so I'll check back tomorrow...maybe you
could register for me?

I'll see what I can do. The engine is still in pieces but I finally got the parts I ordered. It turns out all this time I was waiting was wasted, they didn't have ARP Rod bolts for the A-15
and he didn't decide to tell me this in person but rather, in the order he wrote that they didn't have them. However I did get ARP main studs/bolts and some heavy duty chrome-moly pushrods.
The pushrods are really nice and lightweight too, we'll see how good they really are! I anticipate having the car finished by Thursday I hope, so it should be feasible to come to the car
show on Saturday. What time does it go to/from, does it cost anything, and what is the address or name of the Nissan Dealer? I really would like to come, but I'll have to spend a good
amount of time cleaning her up cause she's been sitting for three weeks! Any other 1200 guys going??? Well, hope to see you there!

I got the pistons from O'Reilly Auto Parts here in San Antonio. They are Federal Mogul Sterling series I think the part number is 12182P I bought this same exact type of
piston in Washington state at Schucks Auto Supply for about the same price ($20/each). Good luck

Yeah I'm in San Antonio now, I've been here for 3 or 4 weeks now. On the drive down I cracked a piston somehow, so I have been patiently trying to get it fixed. I bought a brand new set of
pistons and am only waiting for my ARP rod bolts to come in the mail, they should've been here Thursday or Friday, but yet I wait. I must say that it is a PAIN in the butt trying to get
parts down here, either nobody stocks them or it takes 14 days to get here, I never had these problems up in Washington! Anyways, I am hoping to have it back up and running by the end of
this week IF I get the rod bolts by Monday. Anyways, talk to you later!

Peter, I would be interested in A fiberglass rear valance for the 1200 coupe. Almost all of the 1200's I have come across ALWAYS have damage to the front end, or the rear end,
or both. My rear area has been damaged but repaired before I bought it, but they did a crappy job and you can still see where the damage was. $100 sounds ok to me. Keep us
posted.

Hey all, I called Malvern Racing here in the US and ordered some parts from them the other day. He was saying that he's had a lot of people transplanting KA24 engines into 1200's. Does
anybody know anyone that has done this? That's the engine that came in the US version of the 240SX/Silvia. I know in other countries you guys had the CA18DET in those cars and have fit
them into 1200's without too much effort, so I would think the KA24DE would be able to fit too. I don't think these engines put out a great deal of power, but there is an increasing amount
of aftermarket support for them (turbo setups, etc). Just wondering...

I don't plan on driving it anywhere before taking it into the garage to fix it. When I looked at the piston through the spark plug hole it didn't look like it was melted down at all
anywhere, just cracked! It seems like it started out small though. The new pistons are coming in soon, hopefully the cyl. wall, rings, bearings are ok. This gives me a chance to put in
some ARP rod/main/head bolts and have the rods resized, shotpeened and all re-balanced. I'll let everyone know how it goes!

Does anyone know any places that sell forged pistons for the A-15 besides NISMO? I'm looking for something .020" over, and not over
$400 with everything. Thanks!

That may sound good, but have you actually driven a new WRX? My mom, dad, and brother test drove one and they said it was nothing special at all, of course the dealer wouldn't let
them rev it over 4,000 rpm he must've been too scared it would break...now that shows confidence in what you sell!!!
