It makes me happy though

I have a problem with my car my dad called pinking. It (somewhere near the fan in the engine bay) rattles but only when I accelerate. This rattling noise gets worse as I put my foot harder. Is this something to do with timing etc? And how do I fix it? Any help???

Has anyone bought new carpet for their 1200 off knox auto carpets in Melbourne? I was thinking of getting some but was wondering if anyone could tell me whether it was good stuff eg. the fit and so on.

Thanks guys but I replaced the points which were actually broken. Runs like a dream now.

Also, when accelerating the engine cuts out at 3000 rpm and bogs and splutters.

I just put a 32/36 Weber on my car and it was running fine for a day until I took my coil off and painted it. When I hooked it back up it ran with a really bad miss. I have made sure there is no paint on the terminals and the wiring is correct.The same problem I fixed on the original carby by connecting the vacuum advance tube which had come off. I need help. Any suggestions???

Being only young I bought my Sony head unit and amp before I bought my car. I also got some carpet mats and aluminium pedals.My dad just didn't understand why I was accumulating parts before the car arrived. Its kind of like parents getting a nursery ready before the baby actually arrives!
