I have a brown small handbrake cover but would like to replace it with a black one, happy to hear an offer for it as it will look out of place once I re paint the naked interior white and find a black dash to replace my brown stuff.

Works been a little slow so had to change plans. Instead of sectioning the stanza struts and having to buy inserts I went out and got a set of R31 struts thinking it would save me $200... Pulled the springs off the R31's and the inserts are original and loose as.

I was also going to get 4kg/mm coil over sleeve kit but to save money for now I'd like to use either the 1200 springs or stanza springs.

Questions:
What is the spring rate of stanza GL front springs?
If they are stiffer than the 1200's I'll cut them off and use them but if its not much different then I'd be better to keep the stanza struts complete so I can sell them.

Is it possible to replace the R31 strut oil with engine oil to get them working again until I can afford some nice inserts and springs to match?

Does it matter that all the rubber boots around the ball joints/rod ends I want to use have perished? Stanza they came from was sitting for a long time so the joints are ok but boots gone.

Thanks for the help

(ps, I know I should probably wait until I have good inserts and springs but I'm well keen to fabricate something for the ute at the moment).

Can the round gauge cluster with tacho replace the clock cluster?

I have a new auto gauge 52mm tacho with peak and shift warning, can be set to any number of cylinders... I wired it up and looks/works well apart from reading high due to the difference between ecu rpm signal wire and negative connection to coil pack.

How much are you offering? I have a set to go into my 1200 ute but may use something else.

Have tested both my chargers in the wife's pathfinder and they work fine, will try her gps when I get home. Strange that the lighter works fine tho. Might try sanding the end point as the lighter grabs from the front edge.

G'day good people,

I happen to have noticed that although my lighter works in the 1200 ute anything else I plug into the socket doesn't.

I'm not sure if it's a bad earth or if they use different voltages to new/standard sockets. Only thing I would like to use is a iPhone charger (USB adapter).

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks,
Daniel
