Actually bit worried about the angle the motor might end up on.
The rotors centre rotation point is much higher than I anticipated and even with the gear box as high as I can get it and the sump literally on the steering rack its still on a fair angle.
Only solution I can see would be to raise the rear of the car.
I know the uni joints would wear quicker but what other issues will this cause? Oil flow should be OK but I'm no rotor expert.

Am hoping to just weld the stock ute one for now. Kinda a zero dollar budget for this project so nothing spent unless its defiantly needed or I've broken it.

Been a while, had a third girl 3 weeks ago. Been driving Oot daily and starting to get some skill with it on the dirt.
Not sure if I've mentioned before but a friend has donated a 13b powered rx7 s2 for my disposal. I got it running nice so engine and box are out of it now. As is exhaust and soon wiring and fuel system. Ordered a new clutch slave and master as old ones were rusted shut.
Just need the inspiration and money for a custom tail shaft then I can start pulling Oot apart and welding up some bits.
A good friend has offered to bend me up a trans tunnel and can get hold of cheap metal for mounts so seems like its gonna happen.
For now I'll just work out as much of the wiring as I can and map out radiator and engine mounts.

Wouldn't a 304 still be good for ya. 316 is for by the sea side. Although I suppose better is best.

Was going to wait until I've got the 13b in and running so I could sell both my A12's at the same time but need money to get tail shaft and metal for conversion.
Its a little smokey but only valve stem seals, have a new set in my glove box if ya want them with engine.
Carby has slight leak from accelerator pump. I nicked a section of the water inlet pipe but still useable just wont have a spot for heater hose. Came from a 1985 ute. Had done 160,000km's.
$100 please
Cheers, Daniel
