I just got my MSD 6AL and blaster coil in the mail. Rebuilt electronic dizzy from A13 is on it's way from Ebay. My question is, with this setup do I need to run the ballast resistor or not.
I read something from the tech section about adding a relay, but it appears the MSD box has one internally because one wire goes straight to the battery and another to the ignition switch.
Any help as to wiring this specific setup should be done would be greatly appreciated.
If you must just hollow one. CA's sound so incredibly sexy without them and hollowing one is basically the same... this way you have the look of legality and the sound of sex.
You guys have emissions testing as well? If so this may not be wise... on my 180SX i just had a straight pipe that replaced the cat until it was time for the test.
You guys suck. You know how hard it would be for me to get one?!?!?!? I really want one too. Probably cheaper for me to go to OZ and bring one back! Can't wait to see pics.
None of the cars I've owned in the states have been positive ground but I never had an S10. I do have a '67 Chevy El Camino and it's neg. ground. I have a heard time comprehending why chevy would make one model positive ground when the rest of there line is negative.
Somebody's pulling your leg dude. Everything still gets grounded to negative. There are very few ancient cars that ran this system but you'd be hard pressed to find one.
