Ok, I'm another unfortunate victim of too many eggs, not enough baskets!
With my Skyline, other Datto ute and Falcon ute that needs a lot of work unfortunately I just have to get rid of this one. It's currently killing a patch of grass too.
It's a bit sad as this was my first Datto but I can't let sentiment cloud my judgement!

I have been a bit overly aggressive in chopping out rust but it is easily salvageable. I have all the bits to do it, just never got around too it.

Bad Stuff-

The ute currently has no drivers side floor, sill panel, front quarter and right rear quarter. The Passenger side is fully intact.
The inner sill where it meets the floor was fairly rusted out so part of that has been cut out too.
It has rust in the right rear inner wheel arch and inner/lower rear quarter.
It has the usual rust in the plenum area.

The good(ish)!-

Has disc brake front end.
Will come with all new replacement panels- left and right rear quarters (right has a few scratches from banging around in the shed), left and right front quarters, left and right sill panels, left and right tail light housings. I also have the 5 piece front sill to firewall replacement sections from Wayne (Automotive Panelcraft).
It is rolling on a set of meshies with very good tyres.
The tray section is a bit dinged but pretty good, not very rusty.
I'll supply a pretty good front bumper.
Has a cross member that i stripped the original mounts off and started playing around with some SR20 mounts.
I'll also include an R31 (non LSD) diff housing and centre (not axles as I need them but plentiful at wreckers)

The rest-

No engine, no fuel tank, no bonnet, no right front guard, no seats, no dash, no headlights.
Up until a month ago the ute has been stored in my garage. It currently resides under a tarp.

Hopefully that clarifies everything and the photos will do the rest. I've tried to be as honest as possiblee! Feel free to ask any questions.

Price is NOW $500.

If it doesn't sell then it was a sign that I'm meant to keep it!

Here's the pics-

I'll do a separate for sale post but you obviously get first right of refusal Chris.

I'll be offloading one soonish I think but it's probably a bit far away! (Melbourne).
Does need a fair bit of panel work too.
Let me know if Melb not too far away.

I seem to recall a really big one on the spare wheel well in the rear.
If you wanna go one Sunday (or my RDO on a Wednesday) I'll meet you there and we'll find something.
They have a good one on the exhaust manifold that might be already in a pretty good shape to go straight on too.

Get a bit more 1mm sheet metal from our mate in Coburg then stick some bitumen heat shielding straight to it.

Or, go to the wreckers in Broady and climb under an EA-EL Falcon. They used a lot of really good rippled heat shielding around the exhaust tunnel under the car.

The most preferable way is wait till I've got a bit of practice aluminium TIG weldinmg done and then I'll weld your runners for you!!

Just to clarify, would my post be considered to be a "useless comment"?

Heat.
Is the ball joint splitter still operational at all??
Best way to do it (if room permits) is to put the ball joint splitter in and open it out so it is putting a fair bit of pressure onto the joint. Then heat the housing around the joint while the pressure is being applied. At some point prior to the heat transferring to the ball joint stem you're trying to remove.
You can get a cheap little butane gas torch that do an awesome job (not the tiny one).

I've got one if you wanna borrow it. As long as it doesn't go the same way as the ball joint splitter......

I've got 17X7" all round on my ute. For the front you will need to trim the front of the guards and also "relocate" your inner wheel well (base of firewall) back a fair bit.
The best way to do that is to take off you front guards and cut a bit out of the panel that the firewell is spot welded to. You can then neatly panel beat the firewall back enough to make room on full lock. To finish it off, weld up where you cut the section of metal out.
Mine is awesome to drive! You can hit 90 degree corners and it just sticks!
You can sort of see where I trimmed the front here-
