I told you to go Watts.... :)

That's waaaaaay too confusing bloke! It'd wanna do a lot better job than a Watts to be worth all the extra crap you've had to make!

Credit to your amazing job of piecing that puzzle all together though!

Do you have to take the timing cover off?
Correct me if I'm wrong but can't you just take the balancer off and removed the seal???
I've never done one on a Datto but presume it would be the same unless they're totally different design?
It would be easier to replace the seal with the timing cover off but a lot more work involved to get it off in the first place.

Whatever you like.
Oval port heads were still standard with single carbs in a lot of cases.
To get full value out of them a 32/36 weber or set of twins will work well.

There's a pretty good chance that Vicroads would have considered the plates as "lost"due to not being registered for so long.
You might even find that they're back in circulation again on another car. You can buy all the old plates now that are considered no longer in circulation.
Any unused plates need to be "held on retention" to be permanently available to the owner.

For the purposes of the rest of the forum it would be great to limit the number of PM's to Matthew so we can all learn something from peoples questions.

It will be invaluable (for you NSW guys anyway) to have Matthew on board helping with some of the more tricky conversions.

Faark man, that's #OOPS#!!!! Sorry to hear that.

Will definately keep an eye out for it. Being green will hopefully help track it down.

Hopefully it shows up, nothing worse than having something pinched. Specially a Datto....

Awesome mate!
It looks perfectly thought out.
You and Rob (RSR100) are currently battling it out to be awarded the 2012 Datsun1200.com "Insane Fabrication" award!
Brilliant work.
