Took car for its first drive today. Did about 30km in it. Seems to be heaps more perky. Track day 28 days and counting!

Im not realy sure what the suspention settings are. it has a bit more camber and a bit more caster than standard. I will post them once its had a wheel alignment done. Got a n14 pulsar radatior and it fitts pretty good. Also gettin rid of the solid fan so got a 12 inch eletric fan and thermo switch.

So I missed the first track day last weekend and dosen't look like I will get to the next one since it is tomorow. Anyway heres where its at. Motor is reasembled with new rings and bearings. Cam has been set up and new valve springs installed.
Had 1mm skimed off head. valves and seats recut.Refitted motor to car, made a new mount and fitted my 60L gearbox. Just have too sus out a radatior (maybe N14 pulsar?)should fire it back up in the next couple of weeks and try put some ks on it before next track day on 29 may. Lookin forward to pulling sum revs out of it!!

just get in touch with Julian at motorsport wanawatu.He runs the road and track series(hes got a 1200sss). the web site is www.motorsportmanawatu.org.nz. only need a helmet overalls and a fire extinguisher. cost a bout $65 and just keep going out as many times as you can.

I have buffed the casting marks off in the ports on the head
probley just leave it at that. webers fairly costly now(sold a good set a few years back and kicking myself now)maybe look at bike carbs?
valve springs measure 29.5mm od 22mm id 50mm high (free length) for outer and 22mm od 16.8 id 44mm high for inner spring.

Got new valve springs today.(new on left standard on right)
I skimed some more off the flywheel. Its about 6.4kg now.

Thats the wifes yellow ride in the back.
The struts have standard length bodys they were slightly shorter than the 1200 ones but the inserts where way shorter. I spaced them to the top of the tube (about 60mm)and they where still about 2-3 inches shorter in overall extended length than the standard ones. Front springs are 200lbs.the rings are cable ties holding the break hoses
