Sounds to me like he is looking for the gasket that goes between the mirror and the door, I don't recall that they could ever be purchased separately. Why not use a peice of rubber, like a bike inner tube and make your own?

Actually, a weak older battery could cause this problem. But the first thing you need to do is clean all of the electrical connections between your battery, alternator and voltage regulator. Also make sure that you do this with both the positive and negitive connections. Many, many times I have seen someone take the time to clean all of their positive connections, only to have the negitive hookups be the problem. After you have cleaned everything, make sure that the drive belt is tightened to the correct tension, if it is loose, it will cause the alternator pulley to slip at idle. Once you have done both of these things, if it does not solve your problem, then start to look for a bad component. In other words, take the time to eliminate the stupid stuff before you replace something that isn't bad.

More to that point, if you have fuel comming out of the vacuum fitting, that part is bad. That type of regulator uses vacuum to change fuel pressure.

Looks just like the one in my glove box, except mine has nuts and washers. I'd be willing to trade it for a stock radio that works.

MLS gaskets work as well as the composite ones, only difference is that MLS gaskets require a much smoother finish of the block and head. The finish of factory gasket surfaces back then as a lot rougher, in that regard composite gaskets are more forgiving.

Aquick call to my local dealer comfirmed that part number 48750-E4700 is still a good number, they show a price of about $52.00 U.S. dollars. Hope this helps.

OK, Let's start with where are you? this would be helpful in determining what you need. The part numbers you give don't mean anything without knowing whose number it is. Different manufactures use different numbering systems. It's been a number of years since I've seen what your looking for and almost that long since I worked in a dealer, BUT if I remember correctly the same switch was used on the PL510, produced the same years. And if I remember correctly (and I am probably wrong) the number from a dealer should be 48750-E4700. It very well could be that you will need to visit a dealer to get the correct switch.

The valve guides are replacable, the dealer or a compitent machine shop should be able to do this for you. As for the valve seats, unless they are worn too much they should be able to reface them also, if not, they are also replacable.

Not angry, just fed up with those who don't do research. Every 1200 brought into the U.S. came with one as the radio was optional. I'm sure that over the years they were lost or thrown away, or otherwise misplaced. What I am most fed up with is those who think that they have something that is worth more than it's not. I'm not against paying a fair price for decent goods, I'm tired of seeing people ask unreasonable prices for something and then refusing to be willing to see reality. I didn't intend to slam the original poster, for that I appoligise, I was just trying to make a point. We all have things that others want, and might be willing to trade or sell, it's just that I think that it's time we all start to be reasonable.
