Ive only seen it used for electroplating, but sure you could prime over the top. Just google it

Hi, the first thing you have to say to yourself is "how much you want to spend" and then stick to the budget. The bugeye is a great car. They weigh just over the 600kg mark. So you dont need huge HP... clean the head up with a mild porting and maybe twin carbs with a mild cam. Behind a 5 speed it would be fun. I wouldnt go over 10:1 compression and use a heavy duty clutch.

harley still use em in a 40mm and upwards. Looks like early R1
