well the first time i adjusted it to 5 clicks at around that it would keep the car from moving but would continue to go to around 8 clicks but i liked this as it locked up the rear while moving.

at the moment it goes to around 9 clicks and stops the car but if you were to pull it while car was moving to lock up the rear wheels it dosnt only slows it down.

hi thanks yes i have loosened the adjuster star thing but then this made my handbrake issue worse where it goes all the way up i got the handbrake to 5 clicks but then it started to heat up the drums.

I was looking for the handbrake cable adjuster but couldnt find it? do the 120y have them? thier was this long metal piece with a nut on it i tryed that but nothing happens?

Thanks!

ok thanks thought so because when you turn it grabs in one spot more than others. will get it machined.

hi i adjusted my rear brakes because my handbrake would go all the way up and still not hold properly.

i adjusted the brakes until i could spin the wheels but it grabbed slightly this fixed my handbrake problem it would go 5 clicks not all the way up but after driving the car the rear drums got realy hot. Hot as in you couldnt touch it for more than few seconds.

i then backed of the adjuster and it dosnt heat u know but my handbrake isnt as effective know almost goes all the way up.

How else can i adjust the handbrake?

Draw through system is much more simple it eliminates the use of a inter cooler and some say its much easier to tune the carburettor for it than it is for blow through.

its simply just like a normal turbo setup but instead of the boost going through the carburetor (like blowing in) thier is a carburetor places on the intake part of the turbo which suck in the fuel and blows it out to the inlet manifold.

it shuld be as effective to blow through to some extent (because of no intercooler) but as mentioned water injection can be used to cool the incoming air.

these links should help.

http://datsun1200.com/modules/mediawi ... p?title=Topgear_A12_Turbo

The topgear one uses a suck through system.

not sure if its your problem but my factory rpm gauge in my 120y above 3000rpm would flick up and down.

few days later my ignition switch started to smoke changed it and it fixed the rpm problem.

could be your switch?
