hi just wanted to know what a econometer is in a datsun 120y i saw one on ebay for 34 buxs is it worth it??
does it work like rpm gauge or is it somthing totaly different?

hi i was putting my throttle cable back on and was putting the clip on which accedently fell in the exhast that was out from the manifold!
should i start the car and lets it come out or take out the whole exhaust?
is it possible for the clip to end up inside the engine dameging my piston if i start it?

i can see the brocken piece its prety deep inside dont thunk i can drill then tap it out without screwing it up!

yer the one that was broken was the left of the filter see theres 2 holes go down from second to third theres were the stud was broken from!
shouldnt matter at all i guse as theres plenty of bolts holding it!

hi i just serviced my auto trany in the 120y with new filter when i opened the sump there was a broken threded stud with a nut on it in the pan and i can see that it broke from the filter it help hold it together!
theres heaps of bolts holding the filter just this one was broken just wanted to know if it will do any harm if i leave it like this the filter is fully secure from what i can see!

thanks man that realy helped all makes sense now i am only 16 so rebuilding the engine was prety fun just these things like timing chaing and the valves i needed some help with.
thanks to you i got it all done!!
