it's time to turbo the A-14.
i'm going to use the suck through system, and a 40 dcoe sidey to fuel it.

what i need to know from you guys that have turboed before what size turbo do you use? off what car? my compression is at 150psi(1000kpa) is that fine? and how much boost should i use?

the engine has just been rebuilt(about 4000km ago)

will my car still be reliebale? i'll drive it daily.

any hints and suggestions will be greatly appreciated as i have no experiece with stuff like this

i'm hoping to go on saturday to get the turbo .

is that the 38dgas carb?? if so don't stagger the jets eg:185 180 it wont work let me know if you are using that carb and i'll give you my specs on my A-14

why dont you use a idf or ida carb instead. it will give you much better performance aswell.

then two more questions 1) why are your extractors so long? mine stop at my flywheel.

2) what valves did you use in your head and how much bigger are they?

the stock carb is the biggest load of crap ever!!!!

i could not wait to throw it away and bolt the webber on, to enjoy some cheap bolt on power

if you guys jet them right they will be fine at low speed, i have just put a 38 webber on my A-14 and jetted it right and i have torque like a tractor
i can drive it at any speed and have never had it splatter and fart at low rpm. but now on accelaration and top end the car pulls strong with a slight penaltiy in fuel.

what mods had you done on your coupe to get there?

i marked out 400m and timed myself and ran a 17.5 at 140km/h which is not very accurate.
