i have a A-12, how can i make my motor more "torquey" i've put a cam in it with a 32/36 webber, i feel i need more torque. would changing wheel dia. help?

hey guys,
i see you all want 5 speed boxes, i live here in south africa where they are abundent, i could supply to you guys if you wanted, i'll just have to do some home work first to see if it's worth my while.i just phoned a guy he wants R2500.00 but i'm sure i'll find cheaper.

i'm not saying i'm going to start selling gearboxes, but if you guys need parts drop me a p.m or an e-mail and i'll try make a plan. i have a nissan dealer right next door to me , or if you guys want we also get alot of aftermarket spares here.

anyway just a thought let me know what you think.

the problem is here in south africa we don't get most of those oils. it's mainly castrol and shell and mobil 1 thats it.........

what set up are you running?
carb, cam , exhuast???

you might need to change your main jets, go smaller, unless your carb is flooding.

i think i found my problem!!!!

it could be my gear box, coming home today i revved it just past 7000 and then put 4th, to my horror it pulled to 5000,
im geussing my ratio's are wrong.
could someone please post the 1200 ute ratio's, so i can compair them to my vw ratio's
